The Budget hits Band G drivers harder

In case you somehow missed the news reports, the Chancellor has raised VED for the top Band G vehicles to £400 - £90 increase this year and a further £100 increase next year. There is also a decease in the Band G rates to £35.
Fuel duty will also increase by 2p a liter.
The RAC Foundation showed their support for the move. Edmund King, executive director, said "a tax increase on fuel-hungry cars will encourage motorists to seek out more fuel-efficient and carbon-friendly models."
